We are delighted to welcome Peter to the Bridekirk site.Peter 'Deetz' Davidson

Peter was born and bred in Ashington, but now lives in Ellington, where the last deep mine was until just a few years ago.

He has been known as Deetz all his life and he now signs all his prints with his nickname

Peter started drawing at school and just carried on.  Drawing has always been a hobby but recently, after being made redundant at Rio Tinto Alcan’s Lynemouth smelter carbon plant, he decided to make his hobby a full time profession. Peter considers himself lucky to have a job and hobby rolled into one, no longer is it a chore to go to 'work'.
Inspiration comes from the hardworking characters from Peter’s powerful childhood memories.
He wants to keep those memories alive by depicting scenes from the everyday life of those times, both at work and play.
Peter, has always had a passion for drawing which details the strong mining heritage of South East Northumberland Recently his style has developed into depicting the humour and maybe less obvious beauty in our great region.
